ok so i found out my new KA has a bad injector so im pulling the ones from my old KA. i was stripping the screws on the injectors so i took the whole fuel rail off so i could figure out how to get the screws off, ended up using vise grips on the screws so now all that left is to pull the injectors, the tech article says to use a flat tip screw driver and i tried that and they dont seem to want to come out. any tips on pulling them from the rail? is it possible to push from the bottom the injector without messing them up?

ok got them out just now. i flipped the fuel rail over and used a shirt folded over several times and a hammer to knock them loose and then used the screw driver to pop them out and it caused little to no damage to them. now to pull the bad one from my new KA and drop one of these in and hope its just the injector and not the wire harness but if it is thank god for having a spare upper harness.

Make sure to use new seals when installing the new injector or if you took them all of use new seals on all of them. when you reinstall them they usually rip. especially if there old, i just went through a lot of hell with that a month ago went through three sets of seals. i also forgot to lightly lube the seals. when installing them it helps them go in easier and will save you headaches.

To remove the injectors from the rail I simply turn them upside down and hit with a mallet from the bottom. Pop right out. I had my injectors cleaned so they had new o rings when they went back in.
