When installing the exhaust manifold gasket, do you simply place it between the two or is there some sort of compound that needs to be used. The gasket in question is the one between the motor and the exhaust manifold. Do the nuts need to be re tourqued or will they be fine if done once? Thanks

The guy who put my motor in without intercooler, piping, some bolts, a few nuts, some wires, one motor mount, etc... decided to also put my motor in with a totally destroyed exhuast manifold gasket. I am referring to the one between the manifold and the turbine. This made an awful noise anywhere above 0 bar. Never belive someone when they tell you they can do the swap for $500 after the price of the motor. They will seriously screw you over. Thanks to this however I was able to design a really nice one off blacktop 90 fastback i/c setup.

Dont need any compound...tighten them as tight as you can (without braking them), and use the little lock tabs that are there.
