many mechnics go with NAPA, usually a bit more pricey but better quality brands.

lolz, for starters the ka24de was used in both fwd and rwd configurations, but judging by your sig.......

However you also don't mention auto or stick. I get my manual rebuild kits from driveline.com, I get my auto trannies as whole units with a warranty from local junkyards via car-part.com

ok, yeah I mistyped that also. It's Drivetrain.com, there cheap and only include japenes, and on odd occasion german, bearings, so there stuff is top notch. If you need brass synchronizer rings you should privce them out from nissan, they are the best quality and nissan hasn't realised that the price of brass has skyrocketed SOOOO MUCH since they set there prices, so it usually works out to be cheaper if you get the bearings from drivetrain.com and the synchro's from nissan

I may be purchasing a 240sx that grind 2nd, are you saying that it would be best to get " Rebuild Kit FS5W71B / FS5W71C 1985-96 " from driveline(for a S14) and then source the syncro kit from Nissan?
