you have to keep to lookin around , i bought an SR T25 off ebay for $160, then bought an s14 t28 for backup later on for $470 w/steel braided lines. The SR T25 did justice on the CA. I like the sr t25 better than the t28.

buying a used turbo is a hit or miss.... at best you'd be buying time, unless you're extremely lucky.Having a t28 cartridge 'fitted' to t25 housings is not a bad deal.jgycustoms.com have brand new ball bearing t28 *complete* turbo $699... may be the same s14, dunno.

I never had a chance to use the CA t25 since it was blown, ran the sr t25 and it was sweet @ 10-12psi. I'm running the t28 at 7psi since I don't have my fuel mods or FMIC installed,so yeah its a bit on the laggy side for now. Spool up on the sr t25 was very nice, but with the t28 I feel it wants to be pushed more, at top end its too sweet.

well, since i'm looking for a little mor epower and some reliability. i think BB will do better than reg T25, but hey that's why i'm here to look for input.

yeah quest is usually dead on in his posts. I would say buy new from the place he mentioned. You won't have any worries other than getting your oils lines hooked up. Plus I'd definately recommend a t28 over a t25, even if you dont have the fuel setup and fmic setup. You wouldn't want i to be a hiddrance to yourself down the road after upgrading the fuel setup, and only have a t25. Then again it all depends how much you can pick a t25 up for. T28 gets my vote though.
