As usually the search returned nothing useful so here's the question.....

My front tires look like hell. It's quite clear I can no longer put off my front suspension upgrades/repairs any longer. I need Ball Joints, inner and out tie rods and most likely tension rods as well, to start. I'm using the car as a daily driver with weekend touge and time attack with the occasional "I can do it too it's nothing special" drifting demo. My question is which direction should I go? Should I go with OEM refresh? I'm thinking of stepping up to a performance set up but I am worried about daily driving. I am concerned I'm going to put all this (let's say Megan or Cusco) "performance" suspension components on my car, hit a pot hole in a week, and my alignment and or components be screwed up. I'm also worried about the longevity of components when used in my daily to and fro.

Does anyone have any experience with daily drivng on after market suspension components? I'm not talking about coilovers I've been on teins for years. I'm talking about tie rods, tie rod ends, control arms, toe arms, camber arms, tension arms, etc.....how well do these components hold up in daily driving? What is a good brand to go with? Does anyone know of place for good deal on said items? I'm also looking for a Datsun 620...anyone know of one for sale?

Get SPC adjustables only if you NEED to make adjustments for your camber. SPC uses polyurethane bushings instead of no-name heim joints that will eventually corrode and sieze.

Unless you want extra angle, plain old moog tie rods and ends and energy suspension tc bushings are where it's at. Are you sure you need new ball joints? usually they're pretty dependable. and the replacements that autozone sells supposedly don't even fit the control arms

while yr in the mood, I suggest getting Energy Suspension steering rack bushings. theyre cheap and the difference is noticeable but they can be a little bit of a pain to put in. maybe some urethane sway bar bushings too.

to answer your question though, for all intents and purposes you really wouldn't notice anything different by going with all aftermarket adjustable stuff over oem replacement, especially if you're only trying to freshen up the car and don't want to dial in special camber/caster settings for competition.
