I live north of Toronto Canada and we get some pretty big snow storms up here. I was thinking maybe Blizzaks might be the best option for me?

Any suggestions?

I think Blizzaks are your best option.

They're not cheap, but will last you through the years since you'll only be using them in the winter. Where do you live? I'm assuming it's an area that gets a lot of snow and/or ice during the winter months.

I agree with the above Bridgestone Blizzak 245/45-18 96V recommendations and add one more contender: Michelin Alpin 245/45-18 100V.

Two other possibilities (although I do not much about them) are the Dunlop Winter Sport M3 245/45-18 100V and the Pirelli Winter 240 Snowsport 245/45-18 100V. The Dunlop, in particularly, appears to be the top-ranked at Tire Rack.

And, oh yeah, I would definitely recommend an additional set of cheap 18" wheels for the snow tires. Makes it easier not to have to mount/dismount tires twice a year, and the M45 Sport 19" wheels might have a bit of an expensive snow tire fitment!

Just remember to get the correct offset for the 18" cheapie wheels (see the stickies info in this forum for more info on the 2006 M35/M45 offset issue!)

I use the Blizzaks on my Q. No complaints. Works well.

Blizzaks on the M3, as good as winter tires get.
