Hello NICO,

I just bought my Z, it has a clean body and runs well, but does need work in-n-out. I just figured out how to post pictures, so please take a look and let me know what you think. I don't know where to start the restoration process. Help me out thanks  :gotme

What's the goal of the project? What's the budget of the project? How does it run? How does it turn? How does it stop? How does the interior smell? If you want a stock restoration, strip is down have the body blasted and painted back to OE color, if you want a restomod, strip it and paint it the color you want, if you want a driver or racer and aren't concerned about the appearance then you skip ahead to the mechanicals and the parts that are important to you. Without you telling us what you have in mind we can't help you get there.

Welcome to NICO :wavey:

Id work on the chassis setup first. Make it safe. Get it running right. You know, a good dependable car. Then work on the paint and cosmetic stuff. Get it sitting at the right stance you want. Maybe some new rims and tires.

Thanks. That's a starting point. When it comes to the suspension, what would you recommend? I'd like to drop it, put some flares on, along with wide wheels, but at the same time improve handing, and overall feel on the road.

A good start on suspension would be to replace the rubber bushings with poly. Front and rear. That will really improve the feel. Shocks and springs wear out over time as well. Be careful with the drop. It changes up the geometry.
