Hi Guys,

I have a Nissan 350Z, I am looking for some coilovers to replace the OEM ones. I found some coilovers on eBay, which looks very good and the price is amazingly low. The only concern is that their rear springs and struts are in one unit, but my OEM ones are separated. I am told the one-unit rear coilovers are better, is it true? If I use their coilovers, do I need to do some modifications? I mean if the installation will be much more complicated?

Thank you very much for any suggestion from you guys. Have a great day :poke:

Stay stock, the coilover situation is a nightmare.

What happened? What is the nightmare?

Luckily I chose the separated OEM style coilover kit. The price was less than 600 USD including postage. Bloody cheap, and they are still working great for more than 4 months.
If you need the link, I will check my eBay and give you the store name.

he means that those cheap coilovers are cheap for a reason. when people start to "slam" their car they destroy the suspension geometry which causes a whole host of issues. and while it may seem counter productive the "race" units are far more comfortable then the cheap sets due to better construction. if comfort is all your after then keep stock, if you want to drop the car a little get some eibach or similar springs.

if you still insist on coilovers a good set wont be cheap, truechoice, ohlins, kw, moton, ect. your going to drop at least 2k and stay away from stuff like megan, godspeed, ksport, bc, stance, ect. they arnt good for anything but to "slam" which is going to destroy your ride comfort, your ability to handle, and greatly accelerate how quickly the car eats up suspension bushings.
