you CAN burn up the harness leaving you a burnt console due to not connecting the right wires, if you don't believe me, tap your ground wire from the radio to the constant 12, leave it there for about 10 minutes, watch the 2 wires melt together, if you ARE MECP certified you would know the current draw on a car's electrical system is very strong. I've see burnt up consoles due to stupid *** people don't wanna test the wires and don't know what the **** they doing.
If you didn't see the fire questions when you took the test is because you never took the test, maybe you 4got. If I can remember back there's a lil company called OSHA! and that's the FIRST thing you learn in mobile electronics like anything else is safety, maybe you never been taught the right way, you should try taking the test again, maybe with my wisdom passed on to you, you might pass!
Wisdom gained from you? Not likely. When I took the MECP test, you were 9, so unless you age real quick I still got 10 years experience on you. I've since moved on to more enterprising work than radio installs. Grounding a constant lead behind a radio won't burn a thing, except the FUSE. You know what that is, right? Now, if someone has pulled a 'ghetto' repair and stuck foil or a coin in place of the fuse you might get some flame, but eventually you would blow a fuse down the line. I have in my day seen one car that was burnt, only because the amp wire was 18ga and not fused. Guy couldn't believe it wasn't enough to run 6 Pyramid amps.
