I need new springs badly my Pathfinder sits about .5in lower then normal R50's i see and the annoying thump sucks when it bottoms out. i know i got about a 2year old KYB rear shock on both sides. I dont think my front struts where ever replaced. I cant find a source where to buy 4 coil springs for my R50 any suggestions? I found the Struts and Shocks on Autopartswarehouse.com and is there anything i should replace whiles im at it? Thanks in advance

Front
Struts
Misc. Strut Hardware
Dust Boot/Bump Stop
Front Stabilizer (Sway) Bar Links

Rear
Rear Stabilizer (Sway) Bar Links
Bump Stops
Shocks (Nuts/Bolts)

I've heard nothing but good things about most KYB and Rancho products. I've also heard Blistein (sp?) shocks are good.

I'm sure a google search would return more sources for stock coil springs.

what is the effectivness of the dust-boots?
Of all the cars I've seen (except new) the dust boots are always torn at some point, thus exposing a part of the strut-shaft. So, I'm wondering if this is strongly suggested? or just a peace-at-mind sort of deal?

Thanks!

I just replaced all four coils with AC 2" lift springs. While there, I replaced the factory struts with the KYB's and the rear with Rancho shocks. So far, so good. While messing with the struts I replaced the strut bearings and the strut mounts with Nissan factory parts as I heard that the KYB's were s***.

From what I have been told it seems to be a piece of mind thing. I was told that if you ever go in sand or dirt then then the boots have a tendency to get dirt and sand trapped inside of the boot and screws up the strut or shock.

haha, great!
I live nice-n-flat California...
I don't really have any plans to go off-roading, so maybe I should not have purchased my dustboots and just use the old ones.
I'm sure the bump-stop on those old ones are still resuable.
