need someones help with this

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

just wondering what a good compression would be on a 1jz. i went to jdm engine depot today to look at the motors. we did a compression test on 3 motors 1j's and they all had 260 across. shouldnt it be between 160-170??? thats pretty high for a turbo motor

I think the test was bad. 260 is WAY high for an FI motor.

Well when compression is concerned, adding fluid volume will change the results. So unless you know how much they added you're basically F'd. It's either good or bad...and adding fluid hides what could be bad rings...etc.

A wet test is only for testing for bad rings. A proper compression test should be done dry with all plugs removed and a good battery and starter, crank the engine for 5-7 rotations on each cylinder recording the compression on the first and last rotation.. then compare all of them they should be with in 10% of each other..

For a factory boosted engine that sounds like good numbers.
