Okay so here goes I'm in the process of swapping out my SR to another car. I have 90% of it done but i have 3 plugs that i have no clue where they go to, or if they are vital at all. They are under the drivers side dash if that helps.

I also have a huge mess of plugs int he engine bay, but i'll need pics of those.

the big one looks like an OBD (1?) diagnostic port. If I'm correct, it should have nothing plugged it, it's just for a diagnostic tool/consult.

I think the black one is for a relay. Not really sure though. And the blue one looks sort of like the one that plugs into the little "your keys are in the ignition and the door's open" chime/bell.

I think there's a headlight relay, and a starter relay, down there. Could be wrong. Black makes me think starter. Again could be wrong.

The chime looks like a metal box, i believe. Or some sort of little box, with a 2-wire plug. It should be mounter higher up near the door edge, and the relays should be mounted where they're about unreachable, on the firewall side of the fusebox.

chimes pluged in. The black plug is way to big to be an odb port as i have an odb port reader and the SR isnt wired for an ODB port (yet thats being planed :D) The black plug is by the fuse box but the other 2 are on the harness loom that goes towards the right side of the steering colom.

Is the lighting/timing control box plugged in? That could be the multi-plug. And the 2 wire plug could just be a dash switch or something.

I would say, the black one is probably the relay one then. Check behind it, there should be a row, with some round can things, and at least 2 relays, vertically.

Headlight timer door chim and time control unit are all plunged in. all the dash buttons are hooked up, speedometer cluster, and brake and clutch switches as well. Its confusing the s*** out of me to be honest.

Big black one should be the consult port for OBD1, OBD2 ports are different.

Its not a consult port. A consult port is almost half that size. I have a consult reader to compare the size, as well as a 96 Sentra and the odb2 port is a trapazoid shape. Also a SR20DET redtop isnt wired for a Consult port.

....well, are you sure it's plugged in on the other end? maybe it's orphaned from the KA?

Because it looks like an OBD1 port. Mine looks like that, and has that soft border around it.

When you google 240sx consult port you get a lot of these pics, and pretty sure its where my MDM-100 is plugged into.

I'm revising my opinion on the blue one. It's one of the clutch or brake switches.

Floor light.

Check it with a multimeter, and see if it's got 12v constant.

Is the cruise cancel switch plugged in on the brake pedal? It should be a blue male plug, and if you swapped your brake pedal for the skinny 5 speed brake pedal, it's possible the one you got wasn't equipped for cruise while the clutch might have been. The wire colors for that plug are Green/Red and Green/Black.
