On the fuse box by the battery tray, you know how theres 3 plugs facing the motor and one plug hidden on the back. Whats that hidden plug for? When I did my swap, the 3 plugs went in fine but there was no plug to connect to that hidden one on the back.

I thought it might be for one of the transmission sensors, then my alternator went dead. So I bought a new one and the new one isnt working either.

So ive come to 2 conclusions:

1. The new alternator was bad to begin with.2. That hidden plug has something to do with the alternator.

I just need some verification on that plug before I take off the alternator again :(

well the bottom mount lined up so i threw the bolt in there, then the top adjusting arm i had to make work, i tried teh KA bracket but it wouldnt bolt completely up and rested on teh water pump, i was worried that the pump would break with the stress on it, so i used the stock bracket a little differantly

Thnx slw. One day, I'll have the pleasure of having to figue all this out. Hopefully in the next couple of months! BTW, where did you get your motor? I wanna get a clip, but they are starting to get hard to come by. I was going to get mine from unstable, but they aren't getting motors anymore!Grrr

The alternator fits just like the stock ca one i had. Looks identical except for the location of the plug. Which isnt even a problem since the wire has enough slack.

The alternator charges my batter just fine. Ill double check on the amp rating tomorrow.

I tried my 90 KA alternator, looks the same but the top of the alternator is too thick, so the adjustment bracket wont fit over it.

And like you said, switching to the KA bracket didnt work neither.
