Well I'm bout to get the car firred up and I still havn't plugged the holes in my header. I need to know the thread size of the EGR bung hole and the other hole below it so I can put some bolts in there and seal it up. Also, what's the valvo cover thread size? Or does anyone know where I can get some valva cover bolts? Junky doesn't have any twin cams . Thanks for the help. Peace.

The valve cover bolts on my KA24DE are M6x1.0mm, but I don't know the length off hand. That's for the shorter ones along the outside of the valve cover. Not sure about the ones in the center of the valve cover.

Is the other hole for an O2 sensor?

Thanks. Nah there are 3 bung holes. One for an o2 sensor, one for the EGR and one for that other emissions stuff. I forgot the name right now. Could it be a full inch big? It looks pretty big.

EGR is M24 x 1.5. You can buy a plug at the dealership. It's an AIV "taper plug". Forget the part number off hand. You can also cut off the threaded tube from the egr pipe, put a nickel in the hole in the manifold (perfect size diameter) and then thread the egr tube bung thing back in to pinch the nickle and seal it. I did it and have had no leaks.

Yeah I can't get the egr tube off either the old 96 manifold or my ol single cam :-D. I'ma check out those numbers tomorow and see if I can get a hold on some big bolts. Thanks.
