Wife got a new vehicle (97 Pathfinder XE). Stock stereo sucks butt, and we have a new Alpine 40w head unit ready to install.

Needs speakers, I believe they are 6.5 front and rear (looks like there's a spot in the A-pillar for tweets).

Don't wanna drop a lot of $$$ on this, so any suggestions? Anybody have somethnig for sale?

Open to all advice... it's been a long time since I was "into" car audio.

I still have my factory BOSE 6x9's from the 91Q. They were replaced 2 years ago under the replacement plan. They're yours free + shipping if you want them.

The best bang for the buck (I think) will be pioneer 3 way speakers like these once: http://www.pioneerelectronics.....htmlThey should run you 100 shipped for 2 pairs off eBay

My audio system is basically high end everything (subs, head unit, amps) but my speakers are “cheap” and are 3 years old but I wouldn’t trade them for the world, they sound amazing. What kind of speakers do I have, you guessed it, they are 3 way 6.5 pioneers.

Nick - I won't be able to use those for the Pathy, but I'd like to have a replacement pair for the Q. My right rear is starting to fade ever so slightly.

Thanks Check - I'll "check" those out. :)

not sure if the 91's will fit into the 95....wiring that is...

you may have to strip and splice wires.... I think the plug in adapters are slightly different.

i'm probably not going to help much but I only know brands. I hear Focal is getting decent, they run about 1000$ a pair but I personally haven't heard them. Also, these. . . nakamichi or some spelling like that are great, i hear. their HU and stuff don't look schnazzy but they sound amazing, from what i hear
