I going ka-t, t3/t4, safcII, Z32 maf, 555cc nismo injectors, walbro fuel pump, boost controller etc. I wanted to know if i installed everything, had the safcII and the car tuned on a dyno, would i need my ecu chipped? Would i need a o2 wide band? Also if i installed everything would it be safe to run the car on a unset up safcII? I know these must be retarted questions, but they are for a retarted person.

if you are looking for more than 250rwhp then you should go with a tunned ecu. this is becuase you need the timing control (retarding enough timing in boost)

the dyno will have a wideband, but its a good investment so you can tune yourself and always know whats going on.

some of the safc settings have to be set to make the car driveable. you should never boost without a tune

Or the MSD BTM...works well for those who want to stick with a piggy back type setup. Or the new Emanage whcih looks to be pretty sweet IMO.

i highly suggest the wideband as u will have a certain peace of mind whenever u decide to change ur boost settings as you will need to change ur fuel maps if u dont have a chipped ecu. i think its just best to have a chipped ecu and wideband as then with the safc, u can tune on the fly.

You need a wideband to be the safest.Don't have to have it.But will allow you to drive your car to the dyno problems free. But as others have mentioned your timing is going to become and issue. You can either retard your timing which you'll suffer in low end or get some kind of control management.Like BTM,ECU,emanage etc.Another option would be to not install injectors to you got the dyno. And don't make any boost.Therfore no need to buy a wideband.

people say get the tune ecu because its plug and play..but if a BTM isnt considered plug and play...thats not right

So if i get a chipped ecu from jwt, for 555cc injectors, z32 maf, turbo and so on. Would i need the safc? Or does the ecu take care of the fuel maps? So al i would need would be a boost controller? Thanks for your time guys

With a JWT ECU you would still need an SAFC his tunes are very conservative. You will still need a boost controller also if you want to run more boost than your wastegate spring will allow. The ecu will only control the fuel and timing.

Jwt ecu with safc is perfect. Because it will cover your timing. Then you can go to dyno for 3 runs (roughly $60) and fine tune with safc to acheive maximum power. No need to buy wideband unless you want to tune yourself.
