Hey all,

Just joined this site to get some much needed info on my rb20 project. I'm at the stage where I need to pickup a few things to get this thing started. First, I need to get a MAF sensor, and an ignitor. I have looked all over the internet to find out the difference in an "s1-s2" rb20. If there is such a thing that exists. I contacted "a company" who will remain a secret because I don't want to come off as someone who bashes, but they deal with rbs. I asked for prices and if the parts were in stock. Then asked about any sort of differences. I was told there really isn't a difference, but with the price of a MAF and ignitor being some what expensive, I don't want to have to purchase another one of either due to a different "series''. I have looked around this forum for alittle bit today, but really haven't found that info. Also if anyone has diagrams of the Vac. routing, for this motorset, I would like to get my hands on that as well. Oh, on a side note, If anyone reading this has purchased a wiring specialties swap harness, could you tell me how it went? Is it worth spending the money? Did you have any problems with the harness?

I cannot chime in on the rb20 specific stuff. But in regards to the Wiring Specialities harnesses......You will NOT find a better product on the internet.....Period......

the ws harnesses work for sure but they use crap connectors and wire...this is my personal opinion having had a few cars equipped with them come thru the shop.

I can see that. But better than 20+ year old wiring harnesses with brittle/broken connectors that break when they are looked at lol. Sometimes it's just nice having new wires and new connectors.......

The WS is also modified to work in the car, so it's just plug and play too though right?

I had checked out their site. The only harness I saw on there was one version. I guess it's time to give them a call direct before I buy lol.
