While putting on my timing belt and thermastat today Ive found some parts that I need to get replaced. First would be the gasket for the thermastat housing. I bought one for a 300zx to see if it would fit, and it does on 2 corners but the 3rd is a different shape so it wont fit. If anyone can tell me where to get another one or one that will work that would be great. Unfortunately also, the main pulley (the biggest one on the bottom) shows some cracking on the inside of it. I have no idea where I can find a new one of these. Any help would be great

im not sure if all rbs are this way, but my rb25 fsm said to just use rtv gasket maker. there is no paper gasket.

dont have a clue where you could get a crank pulley. might try asking jon powell, i have heard that he can get rb parts.

Don't be embaressed. I still don't know my head from a hole in the ground. That's why I love this forum so much. learn something new every day!!!

Pic 1. Front of the engine. Note the timing belt cover. Follow the left edge of the black cover... just below is the water pump.

Pic 2. Close up. Just below the black timing belt cover. Don't ask me what the rest of that crap is (well just to the left is the alternator.. note that mine looks like crap but works fine. Just above it is the engine coolant tube with the temp sensors, and I don't have the slightest idea what that black bar that seems to be resting on it is. Maybe it's the Muffler Belt tensioner puller, or possible the VTEC NOS injection rail?)... but anyhow, the big silver thing with the belt on the end.. that's the water pump

Good luck doing your work. You should take pics and do a write up on how to do it so that others will have an easier time.

On your pulley..

If you can't come up with anything here in the states... email this guy.

His name is Don. He was able to get me a couple engine coolant temp sensors super cheap! Really nice guy!

Thanks, Ill check for that. Mines an RB25 so I dunno if its any different. I knew it had to be on a pulley but I wasent sure if it was electric or not.
