Ok, so when I had Circuit City install new door speakers they broke most of the clips in door panels. This of course would have been avoided had I not been lazy and done it myself.... Anyone know where I can get those clips? Is the dealer going to rape me?

When the jacktards that broke in my car they also decided to rip the fabric that runs from my back seat to the front of the trunk lid...I hope that makes sense. Now everyone can see into my trunk...Same question, where can I get these cheap and is the dealer going to forget to use lube on me?

The thieves also broke out my mounting brackets for my CD player, which in order to replace the mounting holes I have to replace the dash, anyone have a work around for this? I would hate to have to replace the whole dash to replace mounting points that are hidden anyway.

Has anyone ever had issue with the seatbelts not locking...this isn't my first 240, but it is my first vert, if I yank on the seat belt while I'm wearing them they don't lock. They do, sometimes, lock if I am braking hard, but shouldn't they lock all the time?

Thanks for all of your input!

I can answer the last question, and maybe help with some of the others.

The seatbelts have an inertial design, that is to say the mechanism contains a small steel bearing that rolls forward (or backward) under inertial forces (braking or acceleration). Otherwise, the seatbelts retract and let out freely.

So they're working right.

The fabric is a protector for the top, it forms a "bag" that keeps the folded top from contacting metal parts. I'll bet if you were to remove the whole thing, you could have a new piece cut from vinyl by an upholstery shop familiar with convertible tops.

The door clips are similar to those used for the coupe / hatch, so a dealer should be able to source them for you. Pull one out and take it in for matching.

first thing i would have done was speak to a manager at circuit city. i work for best buy and we do installs to, and we try not to screw up ppl's stuff but if we do we will fix it. i work on the geek squad though, but they did my remote start and alarm, keyless system and they did an excellent job.
