I'm going to be purchasing an '07 G35 Sedan within the next month. I've been reading up on them for a while now and this is what I've came up with:

G35 Sport Sedan (Platinum Graphite or Black Obsidian)Premium PackageNavigation PackageTechnology PackageRear Spoiler (to cover up the chrome piece)

What do you guys think? Anything else I should consider? One other question I have, can you hook video/audio into the monitor? If so, can you disable the Park safety feature?

Thanks in advance!-Michael

Hello Michael

Welcome to NICO!!

I think it's going to be a decision you will never regret!! You're going to love driving this car!!

There has been alot of info lately being tossed around in here regarding disabling the Park safety brake. Onnly a few say you can...most say you can't...I don't think it has been fully figured out yet...if you try a search you will find some of this info.

Let us know when you get your new ride as we expect to see some pics!!

Thanks guys! The main reason I'm getting the Navigation Package is because you have to get it in order to get the Technology Package. And I was hoping I would be able to input video into the monitor and all that good stuff. I'm definitely looking forward to getting one, so you'll be seeing a lot more of me around here.

IMO you won’t regret the navigation package.

1. It’s one of the best & easiest to use navi systems I’ve encountered.2. You get the 9.5GB HDD.3. An enter & back button on steering wheel w/navi.4. There are additional cell phones (w/ more functions) “approved” by Infiniti w/ navi.5. Voice recognition for climate control, audio, info & of course navi.6. XM partnered w/ Infiniti so w/ navi you get “free” XM install w/ free 3 month trial of XM radio & NavTraffic7. You get the CF slot – I loaded 74 CDs on two 2GB CF – almost my entire collection – played so much w/ this I haven’t even used the HDD or activated the XM yet.8. In general more screen interaction & functionality w/ navi.

And to echo others you will LOVE the car.

Thanks for the input, I'm definitely looking forward to getting one. Does anyone have pictures of the splash guards? Would you recommend them?

Only real complaint is the chrome grille is actually chipping away with only 3100 miles on the car. The rest of the paint is fine in the front. Kind of strange. I am going to have the grille painted black obsidian to match the rest of the car. Way to much bling, so maybe its a good thing its chipping off!

If you are choosing between colors, get the black and get slightly tinted windows all the way around (if you can in your state). It looks pretty mean!

As a bonus, a black car helps absorbs police laser better than any other color, which is an added bonus in a fast car like the G35.

Hey Michael, I just traded in my FX35 for a G35s with the premium and nav package and I am stoked. This car is awesome. I ended up getting the Blue Slate color which is pretty cool. Sometimes looks black. Enjoy

Did not order the splash guards but the car came in with them on w/ no extra charge.

Don't have pictures but I do like them- they look right on the car and they actually keep the splashing down.
