Do you have much experience with coilovers? Most setups are going to feel pretty stiff on an s-chassis. Kei Office had several different models and it seems some were adjustable and some not. The company has been closed for some time so rebuilding/revalving doesn't look like an option.

If you're looking for a smoother ride, a well matched spring/strut combo is a good bet. Of course there goes your ride height adjustability. If you have to go coilovers, I would probably skip Godspeed. Stance makes the LX model for a smooth ride.

I run Megan streets and I love them. They feel like the perfect set up to me. The shocks on the medium setting are tuned perfectly to the springs. Spring rate's are what make a suspension set up feel too stiff or soft. All the shock dampening does is slow down the frequency of the spring to cancel out the bounce you can get if you have improperly adjusted shocks or especially if you have no or blown shocks. Then you'll feel like you have super balls for springs lol. Or if you have too stiff a shock it can feel like you have boards for suspension because they slow the spring down too much and the spring cannot compress fast enough on harsh, quick impact bumps like pot holes. The only reason they make some coilovers adjustable is because if your driving alot of bumpy roads you want the spring to react quicker and if the road is smooth optimal handling will come if the springs are controlled tighter and slower. Non adjustable just means it's at a medium setting that is good for all around use from the factory. Or (unlikely) you have active suspension that self adjusts to the road surface.

If your car feels too stiff it's because your springs are too high of a rate. You probably have 10 or 11 kg springs in the front and 8 or 9 kg in the rear. I've seen alot of Kie Office with those rates, I've also seen some as high as 15/12 and some as low as 7/6. My Megan's are 8 kg front 6 kg rear. I think 6/5 would be a better combo for daily drivability on the street if you don't ever intend on any track use. Factory is 2/1 on the SE model btw. That is very soft but still considered sporty. Most aftermarket lowered spring/strut combo's are around 4/2 or 4/3 from what I remember when I was looking for my suspension and weighing the options. I do have track use for my car so I sacraficed ride a little bit but it's worth it for me, they still feel too soft on the track btw. Anything above 4 in the front and 2 in the rear will feel stiff in a 240 because of how light the car is. Anything below 10/8 will feel soft on the track. G forces are a b****.

Remember the shocks job is to slow down and control the spring, not to make the car stiffer or softer. That's the springs job. Doing that with the shock will only blow the shock quicker as it over stresses it. If it's too stiff you need softer springs. If it's rolling too much in the corners with softer springs then you need bigger sway bars.

That is what you need to keep in mind when looking for new suspension. All paying more for higher quality suspension does is better insure that the shock will match the springs and not bounce or feel excessively harsh and will last longer with less risk of blowing a shock. Also some super high end coils have multi spring set ups to perform better all around to be as soft as a 4 kg spring but as stiff as a 12 kg at the same time.. it's pretty cool but pretty expensive as well.

Check out Endura-Tech. They're affordable and have optional soft rate. Allegedly DMax rides pretty smooth.

: O OMG dude that car is beautiful. That thing is a work of art. Take care of it. Nice job man. :bigthumb:

Megans do have reliability issues I'll admitt. I was mildly concerned when I got mine. I got lucky though, mine are perfect. But I've heard they're product isn't 100 percent consistent and one set doesn't always match perfectly with the next. But they're customer service is good. I know 2 other people that have Megan Coils on their cars (one of which with track coilovers) and they're all happy with them as am I. I just wonder if even they might be too stiff for your liking. It took a good month or two to break them in. (all coilovers are too stiff when you first get them because they have to settle in to the car) But they are still very stiff. A coil/spring combo would be best for you for comfort but that would upset your perfect ride hieght and stance that you now have as well.

Honestly I'd just get used to what it's got on it and just learn to take advantage of them and use them a bit more so it's worth the discomfort.

clean car. If you already have around 800, save a little more for something better. I'm running Stance LX's and I love them. They ride about as soft as my old tokiko blues/eibach pro spring setup but have a lot less body roll. I payed 1100 for them, which was worth every penny
