Need some Nissan advice

Hey everyone, Im new to the board and was wanting some advice. Im currently a Civic owner (very rare), but have had the itch for a project car (SR20). Ive got the chance to get a 96 240sx SE with 122xxx miles for $1700. It was recently rear ended, no major damage, needs a new tail light and could use a new rear bumper as well as a clutch. Other than that it has an Apexi exhaust, AEM intake, and some other small stuff. Everyone Ive asked says to jump on this... just thought Id ask some veterans their opinions.
