Whats up guys im new & ive been reading some threads on suspension but what ive read are from like 2 years ago so im hoping you guys would give me some more up to date advice. I have an 08 altima coupe & ive decided to get some lowering springs since i cant afford paying $1k+ for coilovers. Ive heard about H&R seems pretty good & Eichbach seems to have to noise coming from them? i dont really know anything about Tein. So my questions are ..
- which brand would give me a good drop without any problems? i dont want to slam it, just enough to close that wheel gap as much as i can.
-where are some reputable places i could get them? ive seen H&R springs for $205 on raceinspired & wondering if those are good?
-ive heard that with lowering springs your struts & shocks wear out & i dont know anything about struts or shocks. what are some set ups i could get so i dont have any problems down the road? & if the struts & shocks do wear out what is the outcome? is it something that needs immediate fixing or could i still drive?
- & just anything i need to go before lowering my car?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I put Megan Coil overs on my 1993 300ZX and I was able to easily set my ride height. I know you said you didn't want to spend 1K for coil overs but these provide for a smooth ride with easy adjustable dampening on them. I pretty much replaced my entire lower suspension with Megan. They might even have just the lowering springs. check them out http://www.meganracing.com
I also suggest some impact tools if you are doing it yourself it will make the job a lot easier. you will need some spring compressors to get them off. I have not heard much about the H&R brand. MY 1990 300ZX TT has the powertrix coil over setup on it and it rides pretty good too. http://www.powertrix.com ...not sure if they make stuff for the Altima on either of these but they make good stuff. Hope this helps.
Id also not lower it too much those potholes and speed bumps out there will cause you to bottom out and scrape the hell out of your exhaust. Did it yesterday on my 93..not good..didn't sound good either..
