need some installation help

I just got a front lip for my 2004 g35 sedan and i think i get how to install the dang thing but i have some questions 1 what the heck do i do with this thing it looks like some sort of tack i remember i used these before in ukraine you just flatten them with a hammer im just not sure if i do that with these or not thats the look im going for but im planing to wrap it in a carbon fiber vinyl

That is a rivet...you need a rivet gun to attach the lip to the front fascia.

That is called rivet. The one you are talking about the normal rivet. The one in the picture is the Blind Rivet (pop rivet). It has a little mandrel in the center part and that pulles the rivet . Same idea when you use the hammer with the original rivet. Just here you pull it instead. That is will be cut off when you apply it. They shoe it on the picture how to do it.

Do you really have to use it? Can't you just use 3M double sided tape? I think most people only use 3M tape.

Its a rivet, yes, but I think something stronger than a simple 3m tape would be better

how many people would have one of those rivet pullers.........cant i just hammer it from the other side instead of the pulling method? if not ill just use a small nut and boltthey have 6 more screws that go in on the sides so if i cant mount the one with the rivets i should still be fine

very cheap tool...any hardware store will have one. I don't recommend you do it without the tool!!
