need some info on rebuilding the ca18det

ok guys im guying to rebuild my ca from top to buttom.nad i would like to use good parts.and i need to know what places sell after market parts for this engine.i know i might have to get things from japan but where?i know i can use some usdm parts.i want to build the motro right to handle about 350whp.so if you can help me out with what parts to use.

CP pistons. You get either stock bore, or up to 85mm.http://www.cppistons.com (ask around, IIRC there are places that sell them cheaper)

Nismo or Cometic hg. As boost_boy (Dee) to sell you a Nismo one. Cometic: zerothread?id=139877

Shot peen the stock rods. Check with your local machine shop on this one. Anyone else want to give some location advice here?

Felpro gasket kit. Go to your local parts store and ask for one for a 1988 Nissan Pulsar NX SE 1.8l.

Use a S12 200SX CA18ET water pump.

No clue about bearings, but I bet Dee, Ryan, Rafi, Sean, or Tim could tell ya

Manis: Make em yourself. The SSAC exhaust mani is supposed to be okay now. I had to sell mine before I could intall it LOL.

You got a turbo picked out yet? May I reccomend a nice Garrett GT2541? Should nearly get you to that 350whp mark with little lag. Also look into the GT2871. Laggy, but will give you more headroom. Let us know how interested you are and we can reccomend some housings for those both LOL.

thanks alot.and yes im thinking about the gt2871 but i dont like the lag on it that much.i would like to get a turbo with less lag to get me there but i have to do some more research on it.i will try to get in touch with dee about the bearings. thaks for all the info.

I've got clevites in mine. You can also go w/OEM Nissan bearings as well.
