I've just purchased a domain name I think should be pretty fun to do something with: www.Q-45.com It's not set up at the moment and is in the process of being transferred over to me.

First and foremost, until it's set up it will redirect straight to NICO. After it's set up, it'll contain a HUGE banner directing traffic to NICO as well, so there's no plan to "compete" for attention - NICO is my home, plain and simple. I'll also consider adding links to Joe, q45racing.com, and some other "buddy sites".

I think I'll set it up as a tribute to the mighty Q, with a detailed year-by-year history of the car, with lots of pics (I need a damn digital camera!) and stats/figures. Of course Nancy's company will host it, and I'll do most of the design myself.

I've never done any such thing before, so consider me an absolute noob in this endeavour. I value everyone's input, and am curious as to what you guys think, and I'll entertain ALL ideas.

Let me hear it!

Hmm....I don't know, but you really lucked out with a sweet domain name!I would suggest starting a forum, but there's already a great user base here and everything. Maybe set up just a General and Tech forum to moderate over or something...? I bet we're going to get alot more traffic because of your redirects though!

hitman wouldn't want to compete with http://www.q45racing.com by putting naked/half naked pics on it. go to q45racing and click on the models part, you'll see what i mean.

If I were you since you are a "nooby" then get some notebook paper together and draw what you want on your site. At first you dont actually have to have any info just the main ideas. After you have figured out where you want every link, picture, and text column, reserch information, save pics to your hardrive etc. Then write all your stuff: history, faqs etc... At that point you should have basically like a twice as many pages as you should. One part visual and One part info that will fill in the visual when you put it in the computer. and and you can take it to a Pro and have them do the HTML or do it yourself.

Well hope that made since.

Actually, I'm only doing it on the advice of our very own Monarch (thanks Nancy - Love Ya!). She said it was retard-proof, so....

John - I like your idea of "drawing" out a concept on paper first - That's how I do almost everything, whether it be a research project, a compliance audit, or a home improvement project.

More ideas!!!!

Speaking of Freddy's Q models: Can anyone introduce me to Kristy Love?

I'll gladly drive to Atlanta...

Guess it's time to start looking for "Miss Q-45.com"!

Q-45.com..... I love it - I'm so excited!

Tino - You're about *THIS* close to getting an avatar that'll make your "Trucker's Delight" one look tame.

I haven't ruled out a road trip, BTW. :D
