I have hidextra.com kits in all my cars. Especially on holidays they have killer deals, and you can find promo codes on the net.

They back up their product. 2-3 weeks ago my one ballast in my audi foglights failed after about 8 months. Emailed them a warranty request ( they offer 1yr on bulbs and ballasts) and in 3-4 days they not only shipped me one but TWO new ballasts free. I didnt even ask for a 2nd but now i have a spare.

1 of the bulbs also went bad in my foglight 2-3 days ago. I shouls be recieving a new bulb tommorow or saturday.

The kit in my pathfinders foglights i have had for 2.5-3 years. Both original ballasts and bulbs. The headlights the bulbs went bad after about 2 years. Ballasts are fine, so i bought 2 bulbs on ebay for $12.50, and they work great.

And i have headlights and fog kit from them in the third car for 1.5years and 1 headlight bulb went bad and they replaced it, everything else is fine.

So yeah thats my review about them.

Edit: and if your wondering the temps i run:

Audi:
3000k Fogs
8000k headlights ( factory xenon and hid so all i buy is bulbs )

Sonata LX:
3000k Fogs
6000k headlights
This car has most light output and visibilty

Path:
3000k Fogs
8000k Headlights

Okay sounds like a reliable site. Do i want a relay harness and capacitors? Also what ballast series would you recommend? Also whats the difference between bixenon and hi/low? Thanks

No harness or caps

What do you mean by series? Link me to one, then the other.

The normal Hi/Low, which will be cheaper, is lets say you go with 6000k as your temp, your lo-beams are 6000k hids, the hi beams will just be normal halogens.

Bi-xenon - Again lets say 6000k, your lows will be 6000k, as well as the hi-beam.

In my case, i ordered replacement bulbs off ebay for $12.50, very reputable seller, and you cant go wrong for 12 bucks, but they actually dont have any "hi-beams" built in, meaning that i dont have highbeams. I dont care as i never use highbeams, and in order for the foglights to stay on with the highbeams, you have to eff around with the light stalk by the steering column, and i dont feel like going through the trouble,

the fog-light drl mod i did is fine for me, basically allows me

Fogs on by themselfs

Fogs with parking lights ( if thats what they are called )

Fogs with headlights like normal

But no fogs with highbeams ( this is factory anyways )

Just depends on the car, here you have to mess with the stalk and some extra wiring, in my audi for example, it was just modifying a relay, and i have the ability of

Fogs standalone
Fogs+Headlights
Fogs+headlights+highbeams ( the housings are different then r50's obviously, seperate highbeam bulb, and projector low-beam )
Fogs+parking lights

But yeah, felt like i would explain that last bit so you understood the in's and outs.

Alright thanks alot that was very helpful. On hidextra it gives you four different options for the "ballast series"
Signature Series (35w)
Signature Series (55w)
Stealth Series (Slim)
Volt Series (Canbus)

Not sure which one to pick, does the watts matter?

I have a 6000k 55 watt kit in my headlights and they are awesome for lighting up BFE roads lol . I also have 35 watt 3000k in the fogs, looking at putting in some Hid reverse lights now  I got mine from modexpress with lifetime warranty, their customer service is top notch.

With 55watt you lose color clarity, so 6000k in 55w watt wont look the same as 35.

Also all of mine are the 35watt ones. I'll eventually try 55s probably.

I have no idea about the color, 55w and 6000k are bright as crap and look like a clean white to me. I have a few pics on here some where when I had a issue with hooking them up. Just make sure to point your lights down a bit. To give you a idea I have 50% tint on my windshield now and it still lights up the road better then my regular lights did without tint.

Looks good! Did you buy clear corners, or remove the amber plastic yourself?

Yellow would be my vote. I'm biased though- I have 3000K hid fogs, and also have the glass overlaid with yellow/amber vinyl tint. Mine have a slight greenish color.

Excellent daytime running lights (IMO), also very good visibility in fog/rain. I did the fog light modification where the fogs can be turned on without the headlights.

the ranom start went away after a week of using mine . Had an idea to avoid redoing relays couldn't you wire a kill switch to the Xenon and trick the car into thinking the headlights are on?

In the sonata i have, recently, the right headlight wouldnt come on all on the time, what i learned that helped is,

first start the car, wait like 10-15 sec, then turn them on, and it works everytime. Weird but whatever it works.

Literally just got pulled over for having a head light out. I even check to make sure they were both on before i left but i think when i went to highbeams and back to lo the right one didnt come back on... This is pretty frustrating and they have been taking a while recently to get them to even turn on. Will it go away in time>?

Check out DDM Tuning (link below). I have yet to put them on the pathfinder, but i had them on my 08 Altima coupe. They have lifetime warrantee!!!! even after I totaled my 08 (frontal dammage) all i did was replace the light bulbs and they work great in my 2012 Coupe! I'll be buying some for the pathfinder soon.
