Need some help with new speakers

I've searched and haven't found anyone with a similar idea like mine. I just got two pioneer 6.5" speakers, I already have some 6x9s in the rear and I'm thinking of putting the 6x9s in the front kick panel and the 6.5s in the rear. Is this practical? I'm new to car audio and I don't really know too much.

What kind of car?

*edit* I suppose you're looking to get a little extra "bass" in the front of the car?

If so I'd suggest investing in a decent set of 6.5 components that can play a good bit of bass
