Ok, so I finally got my motor back and put it in the car, when everything was connected I turned it over and could here it wanting to fire off. It didn't because the fuel lines weren't connected but I just wanted to make sure that it was working. I closed up my shop for the weekend and when I came back next weekend and hooked up the fuel lines, I expected it to just turn over and start. And wouldn't you know it. Nothing. I know I have fuel, and air, but now no spark. Now before anybody starts bashing, i've used the search bar and studied everything there is on this. I'm just stumped though. There are 12 volts running to the coil on both the transistor and condensor and but it's not coming out of the coil. Everything is grounded and the cable from the coil to the distributor is good. Now i'm going to pick up a coil from the parts store tomorrow just to rule things out. But something else was bugging me. Since I came to a work stoppage with the motor, I decided to go ahead and hard wire the stereo and plug up everything. Of course the wires where fubared and cut and spliced to hell but I know what each one does and proceeded to finish the job. That's were the other problem comes in. The accessory power wire has 12 volts coming out of it but the constant power wire barely even moves the needle on my voltmeter. I've checked all the fuses and relays but can't find anything wrong. Ok. Now. Is it possible that there is something wrong in the harness that would limit power from coming out where it's suppossed to. I.E. the coil. And my constant wire? Any feedback would be great. I'm so close to being back on the road. It just sucks that I can't figure out what's wrong. I'm sure it's something simple.
