alright i have a 93 240, with a 98 swap in it. anyways, i have an aftermarket intake and the screw holding it up snapped, causeing the MAFS to tilt and hit the PS pulley. it burned the rubber and the some of the plug off. i car started to run really rich then just gave out. after i put the intake back where it was suppose to be sitting, the car ran fine. Now it doesn't want to start up at all, it will turn over but not start. some ppl thought i wasn't getting any spark, and i am. others thought it was fuel, but my fuel pump is primering and everything seems fine. I am thinkin it is either the plug that got messed up or the MAFS. i went there recently and tried to get it strarted again. it turned over but died again. what do you guys think??

check your plug and connections. if u said it burned some of the plug off, that might be where the problem is. and if it happened right after the plug rubbed up against the pulley, thats probably what caused it. just a suggestion.

I agree with them. Sounds like it is definately MAF Sensor. Check the wires on the connection. Also use the multi-meter technique to check the voltage output according to the service manual, doesn't have to be the factory service manual. Good Luck!
