Post your setup.

Sounds to me like your MAF sensor took a dive. Unplug it and see if it acts the same way.

ok problem came back! shes running super rich at idle - idles rough/all the plugs are black, wont rev pass 2500rpm(like a rev limiter). i unplug the maf and it didnt change the rough idle at all. i am thinking it the maf but i dont have another one to try.

if you unplug the maf and it stays the same then that is your problem.

What maf are you using? I might be able to help you out on this one. Got a few extras laying around for the s13.

well, i learn something new about this car today. checking codes with the ecu. code 12 - maf. after resetting the ecu, she is running fine now. but as soon as i bolt the ecu and the kick panel back i get the code 12 right back. if i drive the car with the ecu on the floor the its fine. must be a loose connection.

Sounds like it to me.. an unconnected maf signal wire is same problem as a bad maf; no metering.

Redo the maf signal wires and you should be set.
