need some help

so i went to schucks yesturday to run a code on my 97 pathfinder becuase the check engine light was on. It gave me the p0446 code. wich is the evap, "The electrical Circcuit For the Vent Control in the Evaporative Emission Control System"

but the wierd thing is that my pathfinder doesnt run bad at all, and doesnt idle wierd like most symtoms. any i dea what it could be, or better yet how to fix it?

so where is it located? and where could i find a new one?

Your EVAP canister is in the left corner of your rear bumper. There should be hoses and I believe a set or two of wires. Follow Them.

Sorry I can't be of anymore help. I've never had this problem myself.

I just got rid of a check engine light.had to do with emmisions and somebody at work suggested a new gas cap. $8 chance at getting rid of it. I got one and it stayed on for two days and now its fixed. I dont remember the code but it might be worth it to try it.

where did you get the gas cap at?because the ones at schucks are one size fits all and they didnt fit my brothers 95 path

ok so i went to schucks today and got a new gas cap and reset my ecu. so for now there is no more check engine light, but hopefully it stayes that way. And my lift should be here in a week
