Ok I have a 94 240sx se, so i have had this problem for a little while now. 1st off it was a freeze plug that had a hole in it. Ok, well I just went ahead and got some sealant and it seem to solve my problem. Its been fine up until a couple of days ago and it basically blew the seal on freeze plug, and I lost my coolant and whatnot. So I take it to the mechanic and he tells me there is big hole in freeze plug and I get it fixed. Then I leave and it overheats quickly when I leave, bring it back and another freeze plug had holes in it as well. So i get it fixed it starts heating up a little by the time i got home, I open up bleeder screw and run it for about 20 minutes and it drops down to normal running temp. Ok, so next day I go to work, its fine, I go to the bank its fine, and then I start going to the store and by the time I get there its starting to heat up again. I get out check fluid and its low. I go into store get coolant fill it up and it basically coming right out of the bottom. Take it back(had it towed) to mechanic and he said it blew out the freeze plug they replaced and he would go ahead and put another one in and see if he can get it a little farther in. He also told me he thinks there might be another problem that is causing this. Blow by or pressure building up causing this. So he replaced it and they bled it, test drove it and got about a mile before it blew out again. He then basically told me he is not sure what is wrong with it and they can't just keep replacing that freeze plug cuz its just going to come out again. My question is what other factors could be leading to this problem. He did tell me there seems to be alot of calcium build up in the radiator, could this be a problem? Any ideas?
