im trying to buy some rims from a local guy and they are black mesh rims with brushed aluminum lip. i just dont know how they will look on a red vert. they are 14x7. i was wondering if anyone had pics of these type of rims on a vert. I tried searching and could not find any. i was hoping someone here had some. thanks

14 x 7 as in 14"? I think the vert originally came with 15" rims and going smaller might look....not so good. Everyone seems to be going bigger.

But I still have my original rims so that shows you how much I know onthe subject....

$100 seems pretty cheap for rims and tires though.

I'm afraid to ask what offset and width these 17s are. But I would suggest save and get a decent fitting set of wheels and don't be a cheap-a$$ just cause you 'have' to have something right away. It holds true, 'good things come to those who wait.'

I'm not a big fan of different colored rims on the same car but to each his own. I agree with Biggie - save your money and get exactly what you want not what you can get now/cheap. If it means another year so be it. the stock rims are fine and you'll be much happier getting what you want vs. what you had to settle for.

For good rims just alone they should cost $500-$800. But then if you get a different size you will need to save up another $500 just to buy the tires you need.

i agree but i've been waiting patiently for almost 3 years now and it gets alittle frustrating. as far as the fitment goes they will fit fine. he currently has his on his 94 240sx and they fit good. i believe they are Zigen or volk. they look like this[IMG][/IMG]

i hear you but i kinda like the way they look and they are the same type of rims i wanted to get. and if i get tired of that look i can always try to trade or sell the two i dont want....i hope thanks guys for all the input

I'm going to assume you've done the 4 to 5-lug conversion or are planning to for those rims.

... unless you find a deal.

Get the two different color rims and repaint them with wheel paint.

14 will look to small. but either way buy whichever ones you want you can always sell them later for what you payed for them, and then you can put that money towards the wheels you really want.

if they're wheels you actually want to keep for a while, i'd suggest considering powder coating. however, if these are just temporary, take ish's advice and just use tire paint. if you're interested, i know of a post on one of my DSM boards about doing wheel paint right.
