175hp is so-so, but the torque on the SE-R was unrivaled by competitive cars of those years. This also means there's a fair amount of torque steer, but it's decently controlled by the limited slip.
As far as handling, the Sentra/SE-R line has been known for years as one of the best handling FWD sport-compacts out there. The 02-06 SE-R had the same slalom speed as a WRX even though the WRX obviously had a lot more grip to play with given the AWD. There is a slight bit of lift-throttle oversteer available, and a couple of minor suspension tweaks will make the car an absolute blast in the twisties.
