2002 g20 64000 miles, been runing ruff pulled code p1402 egr system. should this be covered under warrenty, if not is it a hard fix myself.

If your warranty is still in action and you haven't messed with the car (such as a header), warranty will cover it.

Without knowing exactly what is wrong with your EGR, I can't tell you how easy it would be to fix on your own, but probably pretty easy if you can figure out what part's not working.
