I AM SOME WHAT NEW HERE AT LEAST TO THE SITE SINCE IT HAS MERGED WITH THIS SITE.ANYWAYS I HAVE RECENTLY GOT ANOTHER 240SX........180SX BODY STYLE. tHE KA MOTOR HAS ABOUT 113,000 ON IT AND FOR THE MOST PART THE MOTOR IS CLEAN BUT THERE ARE SOMETHINGS I NEED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE MOTOR HAS A TICKING SOUND COMING FROM WHAT I THINK IS THE HEAD......CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND IT'S FINE SO I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT IT MIGHT BE.......NOW THE SECOND PROBLEM IS THAT WHILE I AM DRIVING YOU CAN HEAR WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A RUBBING FROM INSIDE THE CAR......WHAT I MEAN IS THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S COMING FROM THE transmission NOW I KNOW THE PLACE I GOT THE CAR FROM REPLACED THE CLUTCH. IT ONLY MAKES THE NOISE WHEN THE CAR IS IN GEAR WHEN THE CAR IS INBETWEEN YOU DON'T HEAR IT.
SO IF SOMEONE COULD HELP I COULD REALLY USE IT....ANOTHER PART OF THE DEAL IS THAT THE HE HAS ANOTHER S13 STYLE 240 WITH A BEAT UP MOTOR AND WHEN HE PULLS THAT ONE I GET THE BEAT UP MOTOR SO I WILL HAVE SOME SPARE PARTS TO USE........SO I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS I COULD DO TO FIX THIS CAR ....IT'S BEEN ALONG TIME COMING FOR ME TO GET MY 240 AND I HAVE NO PLANS ON LOOSING IT.

Are you sure that the clicking is not timng chain slap? I had that problem and my girls 95 is starting to slap a little on startup. Mine i cured by removing the top guide which is really easy to do. Just remove the valve cover and booya its right there. And the dealer said i was gonna cost me a grand to get rid of the noise... If it is your transmission then i am clueless.

pop chargers? My girl has a s14 and we put a jim wolfe pop charger in there and it makes the car sound hella tough. 80 some bucks but dayam. response is better and the car sounds like it has an exhaust, but up front. anyways jim wolfe himself is a d***, but we got it before he f@cked up my one friends turbo maxima. Oh well he sold us the pop and i bet he regrets it now.
