ok, a good friend of mine is about 95% done with his RB25 swap into his 89' 240 coupe. the engine went it great thanks to Mckinney Motor and trans mounts , he got a custom drive shaft made and it is ready to go.

Ok now the problem, the motor turns over and starts but it runs CRAZY rich so rich it felt like someone was pouring gas right in my eyes. The company he got the motor from sent what he believes to be a Z32 MAF at first but he wanted a stock one so he could run the engine as it was supposed to run stock. THey then sent him another MAF that appears to be a Q45 or a SR20 so right now he is using the Z32. He also enstalled an Apexi SAFC but does not have the proper input code for the RB25. He has tried the code for a Z32 but no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

just disconnect the maf and see if it runs any better. it will run in limp mode without a maf, but wont run that rich.

also, remove the SAFC sill you can get the proper input code, the engine is not a Z32, why even try using that one? you can do serious **** to your car if you dont know how to use a SAFC.

for a z32 maf and rb25 you should use a 2 in an 4 out..with a q45 it should be 1 in and 4 out with an sr20 I think is 5 in and 4 out but I would want to use this one.

Get us a description of the maf or a pic is better. What color is the label? The numbers on it?
