Need some help on my 89 240sx
I have a 89 240sx. All stock besides exhaust. Im gettn a s13 sr20det this christmas break. I want to do alot of stuff but.. i really dont know what to do.. like.. i dont knwo what to get for my car... could some of u all help me out? thanx:help
Well, you're not being very specific. Do you mean what you need for the install? Most everything you need comes w/ an SR20 from a performance dealer. They're not gonna sell you something that requires you to buy 30 other items. Usually, its a package deal. Engine+transmission+ECU, etc. Once it's installed, it will work without the need for anything else.
Some things would help, like a large exhuast (3"-3.5"), bigger intercooler, etc.

First off...IMO, I think a BOV..I have a GReddy TYpe-S and lov it...secondly would probably be FMIC and a 3" exhaust system. The stock OEM system will flow okay for a while but you should change it asap. Theres a lot of things you can do....actually TONS of things you sould do...Do whats most important first...that woud probaby FMIC, BOV, and exhaust....then maybe DP, LSD, clutch..etc....Good luck and keep us posted!

Make sure to upgrade your fuel pump. There are quite a few items you COULD get, but most of them you dont really need. You dont need to get a FMIC initially if your gonna be running the stock T25 turbo at 7 psi. If you decide to get a boost controller or upgraded turbo then maybe you'll have something to figure out. You'll need a turbo timer that costs all of $100. I think you should beef up your suspension too.
yes, the 300zx pump. i think tokico gas shocks work well for a decent price, or kybs...tein coilovers....front and rear strut bars really help.. if you're going to be racing you should replace your old brakes w/300zx, or some other performance ones. by about then, including everything everyone else said, you could go for looks......VEILSIDE BABY!!!!!! 180sx taillights, konigs, nitto drag radials, and a bunch of tight shtt in your interior.
