Im picking up a 85 200sx from my friend. I have seen the car, but am only going off what he has said.

He said it is pouring out fuel below the intake box, I didnt see any fuel lines connecting from the rail near that area, any ideas? Any common problems on these?

Anyone online links, FSM's?thanks-nick

Unfortunately this is the wrong 200sx section. I will move this over to the CA section, the 200sx in this section is a b14 chasis and is FWD.

its probably the fuel vapor line

look for a hardline along the LH frame rail that goes up the firewall and back with the brake/fuel lines to the rear of the car, if its the same as an S13, it will be the bottom one, trace it all the way back to the fuel tank (if fuel is going thru it, theres a problem, as its only supposed to send the vapors thru the charcoal canister)

see if its that hardline, or the canister itself that the fuel is leaking from

youll probably have to drop the fuel tank to fix, but look before you take anything apart, it might be a simple fix (you can take out the fuel pump and use a flashlight and mirror to see whats going on inside the tank)

this advise is all based on an s13, but it should be *close* for an s12
