Need some help new Infiniti owner

Hello all, i just got a hand me down 95 Infiniti and just fix the power steering by finding how to here. It's in good shape but the only thing wrong is that i cant start anything unless i turn on the engine and hit the gas a lil. Just want to listen to my radio without the engine being on. I just got a new batt and check the fuses. Can someone help me out, i search for this topic but didn't see any thing.

are you saying that u cant listen to your radio unless the engine is runing? Is your check engine light on?

Can you roll down the windows with the key on but without the engine running?

I cant do anything without the engine being on. And if the engine is on i need to hit the gas a lil to make things work like windows, radio, sunroof, lights.And no the engine light dont go on.

Sounds like an ignition swith problem? Do any of the lights come on on the dash when you turn the key on but not crank the car?
