I got most of my system in today in my 95 240. it consists ofeclipse 10" aluminum sub 500w continuous (not installed yet)rockford punch 1500w amp4 gauge power wire with a 60 fuserockford 1/2 farad cappioneer headunit wiht one set of preouts (for now)

the amp gets power, but my ciggrette lighter doesnt. the fuse keeps blowing. on the inside fuse panel its listed as 12v with a 15 fuse. i have my wideband o2 sensor and egt gauge running off of the lighter power wire. they were working today before the install. my egt has been a little wierd for a couple weeks. the needle can jump aroudn crazy when i turn my fans way up, put the headlights on, and press the brake pedal. maybe thats shorting out.well goin to go check that now. let me know if u guys have any ideas

also before i hook up my sub a kid i know is goin to check the ohms so we dont blow anything. anyone know the ohm of this sub? thanks

well the egt wiring is soldered good now, but i dont know if its working right since its not getting power. i check most of the wiring and everything seems ok. jsut though of something new. i have the factory amp still installed and have the sub amp spliced into the system remote wire from the headunit, which is the same one for the factory amp correct? could this be causing any problems? my buddy said that the factory amp will run the interior speakers.

well i found what i think the problem was. the egt power wire was pinched behind the lower dashboard screw right above the fuse panel. i fixed that but i dont have anymore fuses. im sure that was my problem tho. i got to clean up some of those wires tho that run up to my a-pillar.
