Hey all, long time no see.

As some of you may remember, I wrecked my 240 last September. Ever since then I've been trying to find another one in good condition for under 3k. Well, no such luck. Ever since the silvia craze in all the import mags it's impossible to find a 91 or newer 240 for less then 3k without having significan damage, so I am pursuing other vehicles. Bear in mind I will still be keeping my 240, can't get rid of her yet :)

Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew about how evenly matched a 1990 celica gt-s 5spd would be to my 91 240 5spd. I've been searching and asking around for days and can't seem to get an answer anywhere on 1/4 mile or track times for the car, just that it handles remarkably well, is "nippy", dependable, and has good options. Anyone care to shead some light for me here??

Oh, and does anyone know if it comes with a limited slip? I know the GT-4 does, but I've read several places that say the GT-S does too. One of my main buying points of the car is that it has the same drag coefficient as the supra :)

I THINK IT DEPENEDS ON WHAT OPTIONS THE OWNER CHOSE. MY FRIEND HAD A 91 GTS AND IT DID A 15.4 (STOCK) 1/4 MILE.

ahhh. I figured they'd be pretty close, they have almost the exact same tourqe. the gt-s has less hp, but it also weights less then the 240. Thanks :)

NO PROBLEM, BUT YEAH THAT LSD MIGHT BE ONLY IF THE ORGINAL OWNER DECIDED TO PAY FOR THAT DRIVELINE UPGRADE.

well I found an 88, but if I got one it'd have to be 90 or newer. The wheel bearings on the older models were way to small and wore out incredibly fast. I don't feel like replacing wheel bearings all the tme. And I'm also on a limited budget, so a gt-s will do fine :)
