Need some help guys

Hey guys, I need some help

A while back I bought a truckload of Street Glow Neon tubes and such. I have since decided I'm not going to use it and have been trying to sell it for the past 3 weeks. I've posted ads on several forums and even done eBay. I've had minimal success.

The last straw came when I trusted one guy on a forum (who said he'd pay me today when he got the money in his Paypal acct) and I held some tubes back for him (items others could have been interested in!). Well, lo and behold, today I don't hear from him so I send him a message. He comes back saying he forgot and that he doesn't have the money - sorry. That pissed me off more than anything (well, except for one thing - see below).

The stuff is brand new, never opened, and my prices are below anywhere else I can find (net stores, retail, eBay). I need to get rid of this stuff, but I don't want to lose money either.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how I can sell this stuff, or maybe what the right venue is? I've had great success selling on eBay and forums in the past, but now I'm having nothing but trouble. Particularly with n00bs that pop out of nowhere accusing me of having stolen goods. Nothing is more frustrating than spending hard-earned cash on things and then being unjustly accused that you stole it.

well howmany do you have and how much are the prices? and what are the size of the neons? maby try selling some at the local flea market or somthing... i would say ebay is the best bet but if u have tryed that then i dont know.. or maby local speed shops might want to buy them off you...

I'll give the NICO section a shot. I can't remember my prices now, but if you want, go to the forums at StreetGlow.com and look in the classified section. There should be a post near the top started by my username here and it should have the ad in there.

If nothing else, you might want to try eBay again. I think they have a discount on stuff that you list again don' t they? With an item like you are selling it may have to be listed a few times on there to for an interested person to take notice.

Thanks Tony, I'll try eBay again. It's funny, used to, people would jump all over Street Glow brand neon, I guess these days, there are so many cheap no name brands, that everyone goes for those instead.

I think that neons are not as popular as they were.With the new thing being those stupid hood led lights!:oface LOL Id also say that eBay is your best bet.Good luck.BTW what size and color do you have?I had thought about putting some in my trunk to give me a red glow when im getting my stuff in and out.

i'm glad you are selling them dude. your car looks sweet enough without many different colors radiating out of every place there is to put lights into.

Hehe...thanks for the support guys. I went ahead and put an ad up in the Buy/Sell/Trade section here. I'll probably let that ride a few days before going back to eBay.

I showed this thread to couple guys I know but he didnt see anything much. Too bad you dont really have complementary color for me. I have red car but inside its like black/gray interior. But any of my other friends that I think that will be interested I'll ask around and give email them a link to here. But I dunno if they will be interested in neons or not.

heh..your welcome..I still know one more person but I'll catch him sometime on msn or something. I told the 2 guys I did tell if they wanted anything to email you that way be easier than going back and forth and relaying messages. But I'll ask one more, I say he has some friends that like those lights lol :pface
