Need some help guys....stupid best buy

OK....so i had a lil Infinity DLink sub mounted in my trunk last year when i bought my car. Well I went to get my first safety inspection done since I bought the car a couple weeks ago and during it they asked me for my wheel lock. So i went diggin around in the trunk for it and when lifted the spare tire cover i noticed it was really hard to lift up....after some closer inspection I noticed that it was for some reason stuck to the spare tire. After another moment i figured out why....the idiot at best buy used a 3 inch screw to hold down the sub and went straight into the spare tire. It was flat and couldn't be repaired. I filed my claim with best buy and got a quote from the dealer for how much a new one is going to cost....about 285 bucks.

Here is where your help comes in. I'm trying to find a cheaper place to buy the tire. I mean it's a spare tire, so it i'm not concerened about perfomance or brand or anything. I just need it to be the right size. So far my searches on the net and local tire shops have turned up nothing so i'm turning to you all for help

Haha...the ityre site can only deliver within the Ukraine....the mustang isn't a bad idea!! Anybody know if the donut will clear the brakes and such??

That year mustang would be the same bolt pattern. I think it should be fine.

This should be the same thorugh-out the Cobra or Mach1 line, it will fit over the bigger brakes these cars have.

This is why you don't let retailers do the job for you. If you're going to have someone do it, have a reputable stereo shop do it.

Yes yes...i know...normally i'd do this sort of thing myself...but I figured this was simple enough and you could go wrong....oh well they didn't give a hard time and I had a check 4 days....luckily i didn't learn about this the hard way

Yeah. That would have made a bad day worse. I'm still riding on my donut. Gotta wait for payday before I can go in town and see how cheap the Ricans can get 2 new tires for.

Oh it most certainly would have...if that would have been the case I would have been demanding alot more than just replacement of the tire

ah well don't worry about it...i found a place with a friend of mine to get the tire for 140 and had her order it....so no need to worry SVT

Would it be possible to have the jerks that fouled the tire pay to replace it? makes sense doesn't it?

I had some problems when I had the stereo / sub put in.

They must've fubared the firewall when running the 4 Gauge through, it was leaking water into my passenger side glove box compartments and stuff, I was soo pissed, I took it back, parked in front of their garage doors and said someone come fix this S$%#, or I'm going to the courts.

They fixed it, and gave me an amp sub combo for under $240 as compensation.

Oh they paid for it....i went to my dealership, got a written quote for what it would cost to replace the tire and have it all mounted and balanced. Then went back. I had a check for that amount in 4 days. Now i'm trying to find a cheaper place so i can pocket some of that cash After its all said and done with this refund the sub install and 1/2 the sub will have been paid for by best buy

This is why I never let Best Buy or Circuit City touch my car!!! Have a stereo shop that has done a few cars do the work. Ask for pics of recent installs.
