Ok I can't figure this out. I am haveing a problem with my car when I am driveing and I get on it and it starts to boost all of a sudden it acts like there is a govener and it wont make any power and it will start to sputer and back fire. Also when i am just siting at idle and I open it up all the way (wot) it will die just about instantly. I have check or changed out every thing I can think of and nothing has worked. I have checked and replaced plugs and plug wires, injectors are brand new, new z32 maf, new tps, I have tried different setups in my emanage and checked the wireing, the compression is 160 across the board with 8.5:1 pistons. I have checked for leaks in the vacume and the boost and nothing my vacume reads 22 inhg. It also does not idle smooth. How this started was I was driveing it around for a little while and it was running good and had been for about a month. I got home was there for like 10 min and then went back out was going down my street and punched it. Hasn't run right sence then. My AFR is 10-14. The distributor cap and rotor has been changed but it is the stock coil from how ever old the car is. If you guys have had this problem or have an ideas please help thanks

what are u using to tune? is it a chipped ecu? or standalone, or just safc?

sorry if I didn't make it clear I am using the E-manage Ultimate. It is set for the sr20de with the z32 maf and 550 injectors. I have tried to switch it t the sr20de-t it dosen't change anything but i do get an error signal about the ignition, someting about the timeing is not wired properly but only on the sr20det set up I don't know if that is it but, I don't think so cause dosn't the de-t have individual ignition not the same as the the KA. I have checked the wireing several times and and i work with electronics for a liveing so I am prety sure it is wired corectly.

There are a ton of shops in California that should be able to help you. I'm not experienced in Emanage but i dont think the SR setting will work for the KA because the K constant will not be the same. Should set the K to 39500 dec. Injector blast off (latency) should be 81ms or 50(hex).

What is your spark plug gap set at? Sounds like the spark blowing out to me. You may need to shorten the gap.

What RPM does it feel like it bogs at.. If it is around 2500 I would have to sa it sounds like a MAFS problem. Check your wiring and Sensor.

Sounds like a spark problem, replace that coil with a aftermarket one.Some coils work but not as they should.And sounds weird but check your exzost back-pressure or take it off and see if it helped. Before the cat

What mafs and BOV setup are u using blow threw/open vent ect?

If it was running fine, then just decided to not run, obviously somthing broke or came loose. I have zero Emanage experience, I wish I did. Running it on the SR settings does sound like somthing I wouldn't do however.

You said your AF reading's were 10-14, what does that mean exactly, 10 on boost, 14 idle? Are you using a wideband?

Also check all your intercooler piping and connections. You may be having more than one issue at the same time.

Also, you may want to check your temperature...I find anally to be the most accurate method

OK I put on a msd ignition and blaster coil still the same problem any other ideas or thoughts Thanks.

did you ever check your maf.. when one of my grounds came unplugged, my afr sat at like 10:1 and didn't idle worth a damn and kept dying.

Have you done a pressure test to see if any of the vacuum lines or IC pipes are leaking? That would cause a rich condition you are experiencing.

NO, what temp should i check? am working on geting a compressor of some sort to check for leaks Is it possible for a fule pump to go bad when it reaches a certain point or will it just go bad all together? Sorry for the stupid ?'s but I have had this problem for a very long time and am geting upset and want to clerify everything thanks.
