so here's the deal, i'm planning an at-home valentine's dinner for saturday night. my date has informed me that her favorite wine is barefoot moscato (thankfully it's cheap). i've never tried it. from what i've read it's more of a dessert wine, but i would like to have it with dinner and idk what kinds of food it would pair well with. it's supposedly on the sweeter, more fruity side. any suggestions on a meal to go along with it?

note, the meal has to be devoid of any types of meat (except for maybe mine). she's a vegetarian. animal products are fine, just not actual meat.

and it's not my cousin

Some sort of 3 cheese cream sauce (made from scratch, if you need help ask lol) with your choice of pasta. Mix in sauteed spinach and sun dried tomatoes with maybe some pine nuts? You could grill some asparagus and use that to to fill the plate more. It will be rich and sweet and the same time. Let me know if you need anymore help or want some other ideas.

understatement of the century. complex meal for me is fry some chicken, boil some rice, mix and eat lol. but that idea you proposed sounds pretty tasty, i'm sure i could pull something like that off.

Pair with a tart vinagarette dressing, or a spicy food.

Do not pair with starches or sweet foods, as the wine is already sickenly sweet.

Italian summer pasta salad might be okay as far as a starch with it, but go a little heavy on the vinegar.

Roasted veggies will be a great pairing, the smokeyness will go good with the sweet.

Poached pear in a water/vinegar with vanilla beans and topped with a mascarpone cream whip will go perfect for dessert.

Hit me up if you need to. I'm busy as hell at work right now.

Ah, so your cousin turned you down, huh? j/k

If it helps, according to the winemaker, they suggest it with fresh fruit or spicy asian dishes.

just drop your d1ck on her plate. If she complains that it is not vegetarian, drop some cabbage on the plate.

Who needs wine and dine when they just dump you eventually anyways.

thats actually pretty genius, eat chocolate and drink the wine, and have a "cook off" and you each cook your own s***, then afterwards you can try each others to see who is the best

ok two signs you should dump her.

1. Does not eat meat, therefore she is boring and may not go to BBQ's outside with the boys.

2. Doesn't like chocolate, we all know that is an aphrodisiac, therefore she may not put out later in life.

Also, she seems picky, you may not see it, but I do, who knows she might get pickier and picker about everything and pretty soon she might turn out like that b**** in the hangover and you wont realize it till its too latte!!!!!!!!!!AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

You date is retarded.

Why bother? Do you think you can handle feeling guilty everytime you eat meat infront of her for atleast the first 6 months?

If not, just open the door with your dlck in a box and tell her "dinner is served"

I don't really think it's that big of a deal. My mom's the only one who's vegetarian in our household. My dad, brother and I eat chicken, fish, etc all the time and she never makes a big deal of it.

If his date's cool with it, there's no reason for him to feel guilty.

why would i feel guilty about eating meat in front of her? her diet has no effect on mine. i'm cooking one vegetarian friendly dinner because it's easier to make a lot of one thing as opposed to a little of two things.
