Car: 1985 Nissan 300zx 2 Seater W/O Turbo Automatic

Post

Hello Everyone, My name is Justin Shriver.Recently I bought a 1985 300zx. Its a non-turbo and automatic but i am dropping a 5 speed stick transmission in it. I am looking to drift with it and was wondering how good of a car it would be to do drift with. So i have a few questions and anyone who can help me i would appreciate it greatly.* Is there any engines i could drop into from faster zs (maybe later models?)

* Is having a non turbo better for upgrading towards drifting (can i do more custom work without a stock turbo?)

* Does anyone know of any kits i could find as far as aero fashion is concerned

Thanks for helping like i said i dont know to much about nissans and ran across this car for an outstanding deal, and its now my project car. Sincerely,Justin Shriver

1. you have a big engine bay so almost any motor will fit with the right amount of work. If you want something easy to swap in put a Z32 turbo motor, or if you got the $, swap a Z33 motor. The thing you should consider with this is that in drifting you need to worry about your cars weight, and weight distribution.

2. A N/A motor isnt better in anyway.

3. There are kits out there, just take time to search. It might take a little while because of the age of the car, but you got time.
