c63 amg?! GTR?!!! dude buy them both ha!Mr.Coupe wrote:I've been thinking about getting some major work done to my car. The problem and question I keep asking myself is if it would be worth it for me to do this work or just a waste of money in the longer run. Will I still want the car in 2-5 years? How would it pass SMOG? Should I just pay it off and buy a 370Z, C63 AMG, 325i, GTR (which is ridiculous in maintenance costs) or new Maxima. I'm kind of stuck to my car in mind and heart right now, But what about in 2-5 years? That is the problem I keep facing and asking myself. Do you guys/gals have any advice for me? +1 - if you have the money for those cars, what is the dilemma?adidas2go wrote:wtf Ricky. All 4 of those cars are in crazy different price brackets. I mean, if you can afford an 80,000 dollar GTR or AMG, I don't see what the problem is
Very TRUE dude. I'm looking into the future and I have Med school coming up in the next year or so. MED school is expensive. I know that it's in the bases of 200K plus. I do have the money to pay off my car and buy one of the ones I mentioned cash, but like I have said I'm looking toward to the future and the maintenance of those cars. The GTR has a FREAKEN blackbox connected to nissan for crying out loud that is Ridiculous. All maintenance had to be done by a nissan dealer or else the warranty is VOID. I'm not sure if you guys see my pointnurseryboy wrote:I guess it all depends on what you would really like. If it's a one-of-a-kind-crazy-modded-out Altima Coupe, then start dropping the $$ into it and be happy with it. Or, save your money, and get something a few leagues up from the AC.
Personally, I'm using my AC to help save up for one of those cars. I know I've put some $$ into my AC, but I think it's to the point now to hold me over (would love more power, but it'll do ). I go through a lot of cars (I've owned more cars than years I've been driving), and they've been getting progressively nicer and more expensive as I go (with the exception of going from the 350z to the AC, but I'll consider it at least a parallel). And, I've made the decision that I'm going to keep my AC until I can afford a car in the $60k - $80k range. It's still a little ways out there, but it's definitely do-able, and I like setting goals like that. I love my AC, but at this point I'd rather save my money for some crazy *** car than put a lot more money into the AC, and not have a chance to have one of those other cars. Thank goodness the AC is a nice and fun car, or I probably wouldn't have the patience to wait
Haha, that probably didn't help you with your decision at all..
