z32 turn key all the way , turns off all power! need help

i got a 94 300zx n/a ........ okay so i put ina new batter cuz prior battery got discahrged cuz a wire was touching metal and was sparking so im guessing it f*** up the battery cuz every time i would need a jump start just to give it enough power to turn on.. and it would work.. all lights would go on but not enough power for it to turn on.. and now i put in a new battery and connected everything fine.. and when i turn the key all the way everything turns off -.-....and wont crank up to start..when i turn the key and just push the brake it will turn off as well.. so i just dont know what to do!!! !!! !!

Something isn't wired correctly. What did you do with the wire that was just touching metal?
